Spring: 환자 코드가 null일 때 환자 코드 읽어서 내역 없다는 경고창 띄우기

현재 팀 프로젝트 1로 '온라인 증명서 출력 웹사이트'를 만드는 데

환자 코드가 각각 분류됐고, 사용자는 환자 코드가 있을 경우 거기에 맞는 증명서를 출력할 수 있고,
사용자가 환자 코드가 없는 증명서 발급 신청을 누르면 내역이 없다는 경고창이 뜬다.
아래처럼 잘 진행이 됐었다.

근데 사용자가 회원 가입 후 로그인을 했을 때 환자 코드가 MySQL에서 null이었다.

이유는 의사가 그 사용자의 진단서를 작성한 적이 없기 때문이다. (그냥 단순히 회원가입 후 로그인한 상황이다.)

내역이 없으면 내역이 없다는 경고창이 떠야하는 데 코드 수정 전에는 저 상태가 안 됐다.

우선 CertificateMapper.xml에서

기존에 쓰던 inner join 대신에 left join을 쓴다.

Left join을 쓴 후 MySQL의 결과) 

MySQL에서 member 테이블의 patientcode가 NULL값이라는 것을 볼 수 있다.

코드 수정 전, 기존 Inner join을 쓴 후 MySQL의 결과) 

기존의 inner join을 쓰면 테이블에서 null값을 가진 사용자가 안 뜬다.

그리고 기존에 만들었던 '내역이 없습니다.' 경고창을 뜨게 하는 JS파일을 수정했다.

를 쓰면서 개발자 도구를 통해 환자코드(patientcode)타입을 알게 됐는데,

아래처럼 개발자 도구에서 string 타입으로 떴다.

If the value is an empty string, then the above code will output 'string'.
If the value is NULL, then it will output 'object'.

empty string인 경우 string type이라고 뜨고 null인 경우 object type이라고 뜬다.

개발자 도구의 결과)

typeof:string이다.

그래서 기존에 조건식에서 patientcode === null 이면
내역이 없습니다 경고창을 띄우게 했는데, 계속 코드가 안 되는 거였다.

string type이므로 아래처럼 코드를 다시 수정했다.

patientcode.trim() === ''

trim() 메서드는 문자열 양 끝의 공백을 제거하고 원본 문자열을 수정하지 않고 새로운 문자열을 반환한다.

결론) 환자 코드가 없는 회원이 올라인 증명서 발급 신청 버튼을 눌렀을 때, 이제 아래처럼 경고창이 잘 뜬다.
